Here the setting is the bustling Port of London (around the City and South Bank), the historical entry point of fine Clarets, Ports and other wines immortalised by the likes of Shakespeare, Pepys and Dickens. Teams encounter smugglers’ tunnels, discover ancient wine houses, the cavernous halls of the Tate Modern, they become theatrical around Shakespeare’s Globe and search for wine in St Paul’s Crypt, as well as chancing upon many other fascinating locations.
A combination of clues will reveal the location of the finish point, where blind wine tasting can accompany a screening of the films. All teams have sealed envelopes with details of the destination so there’s no danger of losing your group, though extra points are awarded for unopened envelopes.
